
Naser Taqva’I (1941)
A film graduate of Tehran University. Started working in film productions, as a crew member of Ebrahim Golestan’s “Brick and Mirror”. Director of 6 feature films, some docus and a tv series, and an unfinished film production. Winner of awards from The Fajr Film Festival and The Grand Feast of Iranian Cinema. Nowadays he is taking photo and teaches screenwriting. The artist evaluation council has granted him first rate academic diploma (on a par with Phd).
Naser Taqva’I is been active in film and literature, more than four decades. But he has the reputation as a filmmaker, who is not in a hurry to make films’, as more as possible. He belongs to the Iranian cinema’s “New Wave”, and is a prominent figure or it. He believes, artists has an important part in giving identification to Iranian cinema.
