The annual Festival of the Iranian Cinema is held on September 12, which has been named as the Day of the National Cinema on the calendars.
Festival of the Iranian Cinema is held on this date every year with the participation of large groups of artists and cultural officials in the House of Cinema, and during an exciting ceremony the House of Cinema’s diploma of honor and statuettes are awarded to superior works.
According to the regulations of the 15th Festival of the Iranian cinema, 58 jury members will be evaluating feature-length films in the preliminary stage. The 58 jurors are:
Parviz Abnar, Majid Akhavan, Mostafa Ahmadi, Seyed Hadi Eslami, Morteza Ardastani, Iraj Afshar, Zhila Ipakchi, Gholamreza Babai Nami, Mehdi Bozorgmehr, Bita Beheshtian, Pannthea Bahram, Homayoun Pievar, Kambuzia Partovi,  Shapour Pouramin, Hassan Pourshirazi, Asghar Pourhajerian, Iraj Taqipour, Sima Tirandaz, Malek Jahan Khazai, Naser Chashmazar, Hassan Hassandoust, Ebrahin Haqiqi, Mohammad Haqiqi, Behnam Khaksar, Farzin Khosroshahi, Soudabeh Khosravi, Negar Dokht-Javedan, Khosro Dehqan, Mostafa Rastegar, Merila Zarei, Vartan Sahakian, Mohammad Ali Sajjadi, Amir Saharkhiz, Manouchehr Shahsavari, Siamak Shayeqi, Abbas Showqi, Behrouz Shahamat, Masoumeh Shahnazari, Fareidoun Shahbazian, Seyed Maziar Sheikh Mahboubi, Saeed Sadeqi, Najaf Fattahi, Hassan Qlizadeh, Mohammad Reza Qowmi, Varouzh Karim Masihi, Behzad Kazzazi, Mohammad Motavaselani, Bizhan Mohtasham, Akbar Mohammadi, Kamran Maleki, Hossein Mahkam, Mahmoud Mehravar, Sohrab Mirsepasi, Reza Narimizadeh, Mahin Navidi Yakta, Afshin Hashemi, Maryam Hazhirvand, Davoud Yousefian.
It should be pointed out that every year apart from the grand feast of the Iranian cinema which focuses on superior feature films, separate feast are also held to honor the creators of valuable works in the short film, documentary, animation films as well as ceremonies to pay tribute to masters of the cinema.
