Commemoration of Zaven Ghukasyan at the 2nd Book of the Year Festival of the Iranian Cinema
Zaven Ghukasyan will be commemorated at the 2nd Book of the Year Festival of the Iranian Cinema. Writer, Director and critic of the Iranian cinema Zaven Ghukasyan, started his professional career in 1972 when he wrote a book titled “About Fountain”. His writings include a collection of critical works and introductions on the works of Masoud Kimiai, Bahram Beizai, Abbas Kiarostami and Rakhshan Bani Etemad, also titles such as “About the Travelers”, “Selected Films of the Iranian Cinema of the 1980s”, “From the Red Line to The Scream”, “Talking to the Wind (Conversation, criticism, screenplay)”, “Smell of Camphor, Fragrance of Jasmine”, “Bahram Beizai and the Phenomenon of Killing Mad Dogs”, “Hooshoo: Stories and Films” on Hooshang Moradi Kermani, “The Blue Image of Simin” on Fatemeh Moetamed Arya”, “Music in Silver Screen” on Majid Entezami, “Painting with a Camera” on Khosro Sinai, “Lady Actress” on Golab Adineh, “Celebration of 45 Years of Jamshid Arjmand”, “Reality of Cinema and Cinema of Reality” and “Reality of Cinema and Cinema of Reality 2”. In addition, Ghukasyan was the Editor and Editor in Chief of many quarterlies and special cultural, literary editions. He was also the Director of Cinema Group of Sooreh Higher Education Institute, Executive Director and also jury member of the Golden Apricot International Festival, Turin Film Festival (Italy), and National Film Festival of Iran. The commemoration ceremony is scheduled for Thursday April 30, at the 2nd Book of the Year Festival of the Iranian Cinema, which will be held attending 33 cinematic authors in the competition section.
