Syrus Alvand (1950)

He started his career as a film critic, before the revolution. Later, he tried screenplay writing, and in 1975, he succeeded making his feature film debut. Director of 19 feature films.

A filmmaker always obsessed with the narrative. In some of his pictures, he shows to be a good storyteller. During all those screenwriting years the audience was his main concern, without even becoming trite. He believes that, “stories are tedious, but human beings are always inciting curiosity in stories, you can find them.”
